As a Global Supplier Quality Engineer at Valmet, you will play a crucial role in conducting supplier quality-related activities to support new product introductions with existing and new suppliers. Your responsibilities will include performing supplier qualification and re-qualification audits, supplier process development and audits, and product audits. You will be driving supplier and product quality improvement initiatives while collaborating closely with a global cross-functional team, mainly engineering and sourcing departments. Your duties will also involve conducting supplier site inspections, identifying non-conformities, and planning corrective actions and root cause analysis with suppliers for repetitive non-conformities. You will be responsible for training suppliers on global quality procedures, harmonizing global procedures, and assigning inspection plans based on claims data, past supplier performance, and rejection trends. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering and possess 5 to 7 years of professional experience, preferably in valve industries or casting and machining industries.
