Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Tender Management : Lead the end-to-end tendering process for substation projects under the BOOT model. Evaluate tender documents, identify key project requirements, and manage the bid preparation process. Ensure adherence to tender timelines and compliance with client specifications and regulations. Opportunity Identification : Work closely with the business development and strategy teams to identify new BOOT project opportunities in the substation and transmission sector. Analyze market trends and opportunities to strategically position the company for competitive bids. Technical & Commercial Bid Development : Collaborate with engineering, procurement, finance, legal, and operations teams to prepare comprehensive technical and commercial bids. Ensure that bids meet the technical specifications, operational capacity, and financial viability for BOOT projects. Prepare detailed project cost estimates, including capital and operational expenditure. Risk Assessment & Mitigation : Conduct thorough risk analysis for tenders and develop strategies for risk mitigation during bid preparation. Monitor and manage project risks to minimize exposure during project execution. Vendor & Subcontractor Management : Engage with key vendors and subcontractors to obtain quotations and technical inputs for project components. Ensure timely submission of vendor and subcontractor quotations aligned with project requirements. Contract Negotiation : Lead negotiations with clients, stakeholders, and consortium partners to finalize tender terms and conditions. Work with the legal team to review and finalize contract agreements, ensuring favorable terms for the company. Stakeholder Engagement : Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders including governmental authorities, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions involved in the BOOT projects. Ensure that all stakeholder requirements are incorporated into the bid and contract execution plans. Team Leadership : Lead and mentor the tendering team, providing guidance and expertise on technical, commercial, and strategic aspects of tendering. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality bids. Compliance & Reporting : Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal standards during the tendering process. Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on tendering activities, bid status, and key issues. Qualification: Bachelors or master’s degree in electrical engineering. Experience : Minimum 12-18 years of experience in tendering, business development, or project management for substation and transmission line projects. Prior experience in BOOT/PPP (Public-Private Partnership) projects is essential. Proven track record in winning large-scale infrastructure tenders.
