Job Description

Developing and implementing supply chain strategies to improve performance and reduce costs
Overseeing the purchasing and inventory of goods based on company requirements
Coordinating with customers to get the real forecast for the material planning to avoid inventory increase
Managing relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance with terms of contracts
Coordinating with other departments such as sales, production, and finance to forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure availability of products or services
Implementing new technologies or systems to improve and streamline supply chain processes
Assessing and managing risks to supply chain operations due to potential disruptions or variances
Maintaining accurate records of supply chain activities, including tracking, measurement, reporting and analysis of performance data
Lead the function to plan, develop, implement and evaluate processes for material flow from point-of-supply to point-of-use for the finished good/ product and for the spares/ component and sub-component level parts
required for completion of the final product.
Driving the equilibrium between Production and Inventory Planning in consultation with the Supply Operations division of the organization.
Develop a model to assess long-term component requirements against different planning scenarios vis-a-vis capacity of the OEM in consultation with Suppliers Manager.
To understand, calculate and manage multiple risks (Domestic/ Global, Internal/ External) with respect to Material Planning to minimize the impact of material management on supply, sales & operations plan.
Identify the constraints of material management which affect production targets and take corrective actions in relation to Own the KPI of Inventory Turn Ratio and drive it across the organization.
