Key Responsibilities

Strategic Safety Leadership:

Develop and implement industrial safety policies and procedures in line with organizational and regulatory standards.

Ensure the integration of safety practices into daily operations to foster a safety-first culture.

Compliance and Standards:

Ensure compliance with national and international safety regulations (e.g., ISO 45001, OSHA).

Liaise with regulatory authorities and lead audits and inspections.

Risk Management:

Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification to mitigate potential risks.

Oversee the implementation of corrective and preventive actions to address safety issues.

Incident Management:

Lead investigations for workplace incidents and near-misses.

Prepare detailed reports and recommend measures to prevent recurrence.

Training and Development:

Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and contractors.

Ensure workforce awareness about safety protocols and emergency preparedness.

Emergency Planning:

Design and implement emergency response plans and conduct regular drills.

Coordinate with local authorities for disaster management strategies.

Performance Monitoring:

Establish safety performance metrics and monitor progress against targets.

Prepare and present safety performance reports to senior management.

Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor the safety team, fostering a proactive approach to safety.

Promote collaboration across departments to achieve safety objectives.
