Job Summary:
PVA Group is seeking an experienced and highly motivated In-House Advocate to manage legal matters across various regions in India. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a variety of legal cases, including Section 138 cases, corporate litigation, and other legal issues. This role requires an outgoing personality, a proactive approach to legal matters, and the ability to work independently, with frequent travel to locations as needed. All out-of-pocket expenses related to the legal work will be covered by the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Legal Cases: Handle cases related to Section 138 (Negotiable Instruments Act), corporate litigation, and other legal matters that arise across PAN India.
- Court Representation: Represent PVA Industries Pvt Ltd in court and other legal proceedings across India as required.
- Document Preparation: Draft, review, and finalize legal documents such as contracts, agreements, notices, and legal filings.
- Legal Consultation: Provide legal advice and support to senior management and various departments.
- Case Management: Independently manage legal matters across different regions, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure that all legal obligations and compliance requirements are met, and identify proactive measures to mitigate potential legal risks.
- Collaboration: Work with external law firms, legal consultants, and government agencies when necessary.
- Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive records of all legal documentation, case statuses, and filings.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Educational Qualifications: LLB or equivalent law degree from a recognized university.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in legal practice, preferably handling Section 138 cases and corporate litigation.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of Indian laws, particularly commercial law, criminal law, and corporate governance.
- Court Experience: Proven experience in representing clients in courts and handling legal proceedings.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively represent the company in legal matters.
- Proactive Personality: Outgoing, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple cases independently.
- Travel Readiness: Willingness to travel frequently to various regions in India as required for court appearances and case handling.
- Skills: Strong research, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work independently, managing legal cases across PAN India with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to represent the company in legal matters across various jurisdictions in India.
- All outgoing expenses related to travel, lodging, and other legal work will be borne by the company.
