Job Overview
The Admission Counselor plays a pivotal role in guiding prospective students through the admissions process, ensuring they receive accurate information about the institution and its programs. This position involves engaging with students, families, and educational institutions to promote the university's offerings and assist in recruitment efforts. Duties

• Conduct presentations and information sessions to prospective students and their families, showcasing the university's programs and campus life.
• Collaborate with various departments to streamline the admissions process and improve student experience.
• Utilize Ellucian software for managing student records and tracking admissions data.
• Engage in recruiting activities at high schools, college fairs, and community events to attract potential applicants.
• Provide academic advising to prospective students, helping them understand program requirements and career opportunities.
• Maintain relationships with educational institutions to facilitate partnerships and enhance recruitment strategies.
• Assist in developing marketing materials that highlight the university’s strengths and unique offerings.

Experience

• Proven experience in public speaking, with a demonstrated ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with Ellucian or similar education administration software is preferred.
• Background in education administration or recruiting is highly desirable.
• Experience working directly with students in an academic setting is essential.
• University experience, including teaching or academic advising roles, will be considered an asset.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to fostering positive relationships within the educational community.
