Job Title :Academic counsellor

Location: Mankavu, Kozhikode, Kerala

The Mission

We are seeking a results-focused Academic counsellor to serve as the critical initial contact for prospective students. Your primary objective is to expertly counselling with interested candidates, clearly detail our full range of academic offerings, and meticulously manage their entire application and enrolment journey. This is a vital position responsible for meeting institutional enrolment quotas while ensuring every candidate makes a well-informed, confident decision about their academic future.

Key Performance Areas

1. Applicant Acquisition & Expert Consulting

  • Proactive Engagement: Systematically initiate follow-up contact with all inbound inquiries across various platforms (phone, email, etc.).
  • Program Advocacy: Function as the institutional expert, delivering comprehensive briefings on course curricula, tuition, financial assistance models, entrance criteria, and career readiness outcomes.
  • Personalized Advising: Build immediate trust and rapport by utilizing active listening to understand individual educational ambitions and providing bespoke, strategic enrolment guidance.

2. Target Attainment & Pipeline Management

  • Seamless Conversion: Champion the applicant experience, providing dedicated, consistent support from initial lead stage through to final, successful registration.
  • Quota Achievement: Demonstrate a proven ability to consistently achieve or exceed monthly enrolment goals and defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Conflict Resolution: Skilfully and professionally address any hesitations or barriers (objections) raised by applicants, providing decisive, satisfactory resolutions to facilitate enrolment.

3. Operational Discipline & Cross-Functional Teamwork

  • Data Integrity: Maintain precise and thorough records of all prospect communications, interactions, and progress within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform.
  • Collaborative Onboarding: Partner effectively with Academic and Administration departments to guarantee a smooth and high-quality onboarding experience for every new student.
  • Market Intelligence: Continuously update your knowledge base on all institutional program changes, maintain awareness of competitor offerings, and track broader education sector dynamics to ensure advice is accurate and impactful.

Candidate Requirements

Essential Profile

  • Demonstrated experience in a client-facing, sales-driven, or customer-support role (Experience within the education or training sector is preferred).
  • Outstanding verbal fluency and professional writing skills are mandatory.
  • A confident, articulate, and highly persuasive individual with a clear history of converting leads into successful transactions/enrolments.
  • A self-motivated target-hunter who is equally effective working autonomously and contributing constructively within a team environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and general proficiency in MS Office suite is a distinct advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
