Job Description

Role Overview

The Admission Counsellor is responsible for guiding prospective students and parents through the admission process, providing accurate information, handling queries, and ensuring a smooth and positive experience that reflects the institution’s values.

Key Responsibilities1. Enquiry Handling

  • Attend to walk-in enquiries, phone calls, emails, and WhatsApp enquiries.
  • Provide detailed information about courses, curriculum, facilities, fees, and admission procedures.
  • Maintain enquiry records and follow up regularly.

2. Counselling & Guidance

  • Counsel parents and students about academic programs and school policies.
  • Understand their requirements and recommend suitable courses/grades.
  • Explain admission criteria, documentation, timelines, and fee structure clearly.

3. Admission Process Management

  • Assist parents through the entire admission process—from enquiry to enrolment.
  • Schedule and coordinate school visits, interactions, tests, and interviews.
  • Collect, verify, and organise admission documents.
  • Ensure timely completion of admission forms and fee payments.

4. Communication & Coordination

  • Coordinate with the academic team, admin department, and accounts team for smooth admission onboarding.
  • Follow up with parents for pending documents, payments, and confirmations.

5. Reporting & Data Management

  • Update enquiry and admission data daily in CRM or assigned portals.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly admission reports for management review.
  • Track conversion ratios (enquiries to admissions).

6. Front Office & Professional Etiquette

  • Maintain a welcoming and professional environment for parents and visitors.
  • Represent the school positively and uphold confidentiality.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field (Education/Business preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle parents professionally and patiently.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and digital communication.
  • Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Positive attitude, confident personality, and customer service orientation.

Experience

  • 0–3 years of experience in counselling, sales, customer service, or front office roles.
  • Experience in educational institutions (preferred but not mandatory).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
