Job Title: Plant Tour Executive

Location: Bidadi Plant, Karnataka (TKM)

Reports To: Manager Corporate Communications / Visitor Management

1. Job Purpose

The Plant Tour Executive is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering high-quality plant tours at Toyota Kirloskar Motor. This role aims to create a positive and engaging visitor experience while promoting Toyotas manufacturing excellence, safety culture, and sustainability initiatives. The executive acts as a brand ambassador, ensuring smooth visitor management and adherence to TKM protocols.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Tour Planning & Coordination

• Manage end-to-end scheduling of plant tours for schools, colleges, corporate groups, government officials, and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate with multiple departments (HR, Production, Safety, Security, Protocol) to ensure readiness for visits.
• Prepare tour agendas, briefings, and visitor kits.

B. Tour Delivery

• Conduct engaging, informative, and professional plant tours aligned with Toyota values and safety standards.
• Clearly explain Toyota Production System (TPS), manufacturing processes, quality systems, safety measures, and sustainability practices.
• Manage group flow across the plant ensuring safety and compliance at all times.

C. Visitor Management

• Ensure proper registration, ID verification, NDAs (if applicable), and protocol adherence.
• Provide hospitality support—greeting visitors, managing seating, refreshments, and logistics.
• Handle VIP and high-profile visits with confidentiality and professionalism.

D. Communication & Presentation

• Deliver high-quality presentations and demonstrations about Toyota’s history, products, and manufacturing excellence.
• Customize the messaging based on visitor type (students, corporates, media, government, etc.).
• Prepare scripts, videos, brochures, and promotional materials in coordination with Corporate Communications.

E. Safety & Compliance

• Enforce plant safety rules during tours; coordinate with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) team.
• Ensure all visitors use required PPE and follow route guidelines.
• Maintain compliance with TKM security protocols and confidentiality norms.

F. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain visitor logs, feedback forms, attendance, and tour analytics.
• Submit periodic reports on visitor engagement, improvement areas, and operational metrics.
• Continuously update tour content to reflect new processes or products.

3. Key Skills & Competencies

• Excellent communication and presentation skills (English, Kannada; Hindi preferred).
• Strong interpersonal skills and customer-service orientation.
• Ability to handle diverse groups confidently.
• Good organizational and coordination skills.
• Professional grooming and positive attitude.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (auto sector preferred).
• Crisis/complaint handling ability.

4. Educational & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Hospitality, Marketing, Management, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in customer service, hospitality, corporate communications, or event coordination. (Freshers with strong communication skills may be considered.)
• Experience in automobile or manufacturing environment is an added advantage.

5. Working Conditions

• Role requires extensive on-ground movement inside the plant.
• Must comply with all TKM safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Flexibility to manage tours during special events, VIP visits, or weekends (as needed).
