Position: Accounts Receivable Specialist

Accounts Receivable Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices in a timely manner
• Monitor and manage outstanding accounts, ensuring timely follow-up on overdue payments
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and issues promptly
• Communicate with customers regarding account status and payment arrangements
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all receivables and transactions
• Generate and review accounts receivable aging reports to assess account performance
• Collaborate with internal teams to address customer inquiries and resolve disputes
• Support the month-end closing process and prepare relevant AR reports
• Apply incoming payments accurately and reconcile customer accounts as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
• Proven experience in accounts receivable or a similar accounting function
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and best practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Prior experience in customer service or resolving billing issues is an asset
