You have the opportunity to be a part of Colleague Services Team CS - Financial Control and Reporting COE Team in India at American Express. As a part of a global and diverse community, you will play a crucial role in managing the Financial Control and Reporting process for international markets being serviced from APAC - CS Hub India. - Independently manage Financial Control and Reporting functions for one or more international markets - Conduct Monthly Trial Balance Review to ensure accuracy and completeness of S&B bookings - Perform reconciliation of Bank accounts, regulatory Liability accounts, Employee Loan & receivables accounts, Suspense & Clearing accounts, etc. according to AEFP7 policy - Maintain healthy status of Balance Sheet Reconciliations for accounts under CSDC - Financial Control and Reporting ownership - Manage S&B Reporting process for the respective markets including Severance Reporting, Colleague Loan Reporting for BHC submission, Entity Responsibility Center Reporting to multiple BU's, etc. - Handle USGAAP and Local GAAP Audits for salaries and benefits Report Line for the respective markets - Timely escalate matters requiring leadership intervention - Utilize problem-solving skills to ensure seamless accomplishment of day-to-day deliverables - Actively participate in process improvement initiatives and provide periodic status updates to the Leadership Team - Manage the queries resolution process from various stakeholders - CA / MBA / CPA with at least 3+ years of experience or Commerce Graduate with minimum 5-7 years of experience in Finance and (or) Financial Operations - Result orientation and ability to work independently - Possess problem-solving, analytical, conflict resolution, and facilitation skills - Proven ability to build and sustain relationships - Strong relationship orientation, comfortable in working with Cross Functional Teams, across multiple locations shifts & cultures - Strong oral and written communication skills - Strong team player - Ability to challenge status quo and keen enthusiast for continuous improvement - Strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills - Ability to multi-task and work towards tight deadlines American Express prioritizes the holistic well-being of its colleagues and their loved ones by providing benefits and programs that support physical, financial, and mental health through each stage of life.
