Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced male/female Accountant to manage and oversee the financial operations of a residential apartment. Need to handle day-to-day accounting tasks, ensure compliance with applicable laws, maintain accurate financial records, and assist in budget preparation and financial reporting to the management or society committee. Key Responsibilities: File taxes and ensure compliance with relevant local financial and housing regulations (e.g., TDS, GST, or applicable laws). Maintain accurate books of accounts including income, expenses, bank transactions, and member contributions. Prepare and issue monthly maintenance bills to residents and track payment receipts. Handle accounts payable and receivable; ensure timely collection of dues and payment of vendors. Reconcile bank statements and monitor bank balances regularly. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts for the society. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management/committee review. Maintain records of society assets, maintenance contracts, and service agreements. Coordinate with auditors for annual audits and statutory compliance. Assist in organizing and recording AGM/EGM financial reports and minutes related to finance. Address resident queries regarding billing, payments, and financial matters. Use accounting software (e.g., Tally, Mygate, or custom society management software). Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (B.Com, M.Com, or equivalent) Proven experience (3+ years preferred) in accounting, ideally in property or housing society management. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel. Knowledge of local housing society laws and financial compliance requirements. Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate with management and residents.
