Job Description

Job Title: Accounts Manager

Department: Accounts Department

Location: Alandur (Chennai)

Responsibilities & Duties:

Accurate Record Keeping: Recording all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, payments, and receipts, in the general ledger to create a comprehensive fiscal history.
Accounts Payable (AP): Managing the money the company owes to its suppliers and vendors, which involves processing invoices, verifying transaction information, scheduling, and ensuring timely payments.
Accounts Receivable (AR): Tracking the money owed to the company by its customers, which includes, recording cash receipts, and following up on overdue accounts to maintain healthy cash flow.
Payroll Processing: Calculating employee wages and statutory deductions (taxes, social security, benefits contributions), ensuring timely and accurate payments, and complying with all applicable labor and tax laws.
Bank Reconciliations: Regularly comparing internal financial records with bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies or irregularities.
Tax Compliance: Calculating and filing various tax returns (income, sales, payroll, etc.) and ensuring adherence to ever-changing tax laws to avoid penalties and legal issues.
Auditing and Internal Controls: Implementing and maintaining internal controls (like separation of duties and approval processes) to prevent errors and fraud, and assisting with both internal and external audits by compiling necessary financial data and reports.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
