Accounting Intern

Role Overview

The Accounts Intern will support the finance team in day-to-day accounting operations. This role is ideal for candidates seeking hands-on experience in bookkeeping, financial documentation, and corporate accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and maintaining daily accounting records.
• Support accounts payable and receivable activities (invoice processing, bill entry, vendor follow-ups).
• Help with bank reconciliation, ledger entries, and data verification.
• Organize and maintain financial documents and records.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and statements.
• Verify financial data and report discrepancies to senior accountants.
• Perform basic administrative and clerical tasks within the finance department.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
• Familiarity with MS Excel and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.

Eligibility / Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed B.Com / M.Com / BBA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of accounting standards and financial documentation.
• Prior coursework or certification in accounting will be an added advantage.
