Job Description

Accounts Analyst Chemical Manufacturing

Company:

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, journal vouchers, and supporting schedules.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Generate MIS reports, financial statements, and dashboards.
  • Support internal and external audits with accurate documentation.

2. Costing & Analysis

  • Track and analyze raw material consumption, production costs, and overhead allocation.
  • Monitor cost variances, wastage, and yield in chemical manufacturing.
  • Prepare cost sheets and support cost audits as per statutory requirements
  • Suggest cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.

3. Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Verify invoices, purchase orders, and GRNs before processing payments.
  • Monitor receivables and follow up with sales team for collections.
  • Reconcile vendor and customer accounts.
  • Ensure timely statutory payments (GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, etc.).

4. Compliance & Taxation

  • Ensure adherence to statutory compliances – GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.
  • Prepare GST returns, input credits, and reconciliations.
  • Support compliance audits and regulatory inspections.

5. Banking & Treasury

  • Reconcile bank statements with books of accounts.
  • Monitor cash flows and assist in treasury operations.
  • Prepare fund requirement statements for management.

6. Process Improvement

  • Support ERP/accounting software enhancements (SAP, Tally, Oracle, etc.).
  • Automate routine accounting tasks for efficiency.
  • Strengthen internal controls in financial processes.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of

    accounting principles, cost accounting, and financial reporting

    .
  • Familiarity with

    GST, TDS, Income Tax & statutory compliance in India

    .
  • Hands-on experience with

    ERP/accounting software (SAP, Tally, Oracle, etc.)

    .
  • Strong

    analytical, problem-solving & reporting skills

    .
  • Proficiency in

    MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Financial Modeling)

    .
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, and able to meet deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education:

    • B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance (preferred).
    • CA / ICWA / CS (Inter or Final) an added advantage.
  • Experience:

    3 – 6 years in accounts/finance (manufacturing/chemical industry preferred).
  • Certifications (optional):

    SAP FI/CO, Advanced Excel, or Financial Analysis certifications.

Work Conditions

  • Timings: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm / 10:00 am – 7:00 pm.
  • Facilities: PF provided
  • Regular interaction with

    production, stores, purchase, and dispatch

    teams.
