Accountant

We are a fast-growing e-commerce brand selling across multiple online marketplaces like Amazon, Flipkart, and Quick Commerce platforms. Our operations include international and domestic sourcing, warehousing, and marketplace fulfillment. We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations and ensure compliance. Role Overview - The Accountant will handle daily bookkeeping, marketplace reconciliations, vendor management, and statutory compliance (GST, TDS, PF/ESI). This person will work closely with management to provide clear financial insights, track marketplace deductions, and support decision-making. Key ResponsibilitiesDaily ResponsibilitiesRecord day-to-day accounting entries for sales, purchases, expenses, and adjustments. Reconcile marketplace settlements (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.) with actual sales. Verify FBA/warehouse reimbursements and claim for lost/damaged goods. Track cash flow, bank balances, and maintain petty cash records. Review and approve vendor invoices for accuracy before payments. Weekly / Monthly ResponsibilitiesPrepare and reconcile GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2A). File TDS returns and ensure timely payments. Coordinate with HR to process salaries, PF, and ESI deductions. Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports for management. E-commerce Specific ResponsibilitiesMonitor marketplace fee structures and report unusual deductions. Maintain detailed records for COD reconciliations with delivery partners. Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in e-commerce or retail. Knowledge of GST, TDS, PF, and ESI regulations. Hands-on experience with accounting software like Busy, Tally, or Zoho Books. Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.). Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
