Accountant

Role Overview: As an experienced Accountant with a strong background in the jewelry industry, your role will involve maintaining and updating accounts in Tally ERP, handling GST filings and compliance, overseeing inventory and stock accounting, preparing daily financial records, conducting stock audits, supporting management reporting, liaising with auditors and vendors, and ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain and update accounts in Tally ERP. - Handle GST filings, returns, and compliance. - Oversee inventory and stock accounting, including raw materials, finished goods, and consignment stock. - Prepare and reconcile daily sales, purchase, and expense records. - Conduct regular stock audits, track stock movement, and prevent discrepancies. - Support management reporting with MIS, cash flow, and P&L statements. - Liaise with auditors, vendors, and internal teams for smooth financial operations. - Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations and company policies. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Commerce/Finance/Accounting (M.Com/CA Inter preferred). - Minimum 2-4 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the jewelry, gems, or retail industry. - Proficiency in Tally ERP, MS Excel, and accounting software. - Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances. - Experience in inventory, costing, and stock reconciliation. - Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to meet deadlines. Preferred: - Prior experience in a jewelry or retail manufacturing setup. - Knowledge of billing, vendor management, and import/export documentation.
