Job Description

Job Title: Accountant

Location: South Bombay

Experience: 3+ years

Key responsibilities

Run day-to-day accounting in Tally: sales, purchases, journals, bank entries, reconciliations
Close monthly books: trial balance, ledgers, variance resolution
Manage AP/AR cycles, ageing, vendor/customer reconciliations
GST: computations, returns (GSTR-1/3B), e-invoicing, e-way bills
TDS/TCS workings, returns, challans
Payroll inputs, reimbursements, statutory payouts
Petty cash control and expense verification
Fixed asset register and depreciation
Audit support: statutory, tax, internal; prepare schedules and workings
MIS: P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, sales and margin analytics
Strengthen controls, document SOPs, streamline Tally masters

Required qualifications

B.Com or equivalent
3+ years hands-on accounting
Strong Tally proficiency, including GST features and master setup
Solid knowledge of Indian GAAP, GST, TDS, and basic payroll
Advanced Excel: lookups, pivots, reconciliations
Detail-first, deadline-reliable, ownership mindset

Good to have

Retail/e-commerce or inventory-heavy experience
Audit prep and inventory accounting
Banking portals and payment runs
Power Query or basic automation
