Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant with strong analytical and financial management skills to oversee accounting operations in our travel business. The role requires hands-on experience in travel industry accounting, financial reporting, and compliance, with a strong ability to manage end-to-end accounting processes and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliation.
  • Handle travel industry-specific financial activities such as BSP/IATA reporting, vendor reconciliations, and commission calculations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing.
  • Prepare financial statements, MIS reports, and management analysis.
  • Monitor cash flow, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including taxation, TDS, GST/VAT, and other regulatory filings.
  • Coordinate with auditors, banks, and external stakeholders.
  • Support management in decision-making by providing financial insights.
  • Implement and improve internal controls, processes, and accounting systems.
  • Mentor and support junior accounting staff (if applicable).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of accounting experience (experience in travel industry accounting preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation.
  • Experience with BSP/IATA reporting and travel-related reconciliations (preferred).
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or industry-specific tools like Travel ERP).
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of travel industry operations and financial processes.
  • Experience in handling multi-currency transactions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
