Job Overview

Makin’s Supermart is looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations of our retail supermarket. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in retail accounting, GST compliance, and inventory-linked accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day accounting records (sales, purchases, expenses, cash & bank entries)
• Handle GST compliance – returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), reconciliation, and filings
• Manage billing reconciliation with POS software and cash counters
• Maintain vendor accounts, purchase bills, and payment tracking
• Monitor inventory accounting, stock valuation, and shrinkage reports
• Prepare monthly profit & loss statements and MIS reports
• Handle bank reconciliation statements (BRS)
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and management
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal controls

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance
• 2–5 years of experience as an Accountant (preferably in retail / supermarket / FMCG)
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic taxation
• Proficiency in Tally / Busy / Marg ERP and MS Excel
• Experience with POS systems and inventory accounting
• Good analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred Candidate

• Experience in supermarket or retail chain accounting
• Knowledge of inventory-heavy businesses
• Local candidate from Dehradun preferred

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: ₹15,000-20,000 per month (based on experience)
