Job Description

Position: Accountant Cum Admin
Location: Athani, Nedumbassery
Gender: Female candidates preferred
Pay: From 15,000 to 20,000 per month
Experience: Minimum 2-3 Years (in bakery field more preferred)

Accounting & Finance Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping and Record-Keeping: Handle daily accounting entries for sales (bakery product sales), purchases (ingredients, supplies), expenses, payments, and receipts. Maintain accurate ledgers using accounting software -Tally .
  • Financial Reporting: Assist with basic financial reporting, including preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual statements (Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss account, cash flow statement).
  • Bank and Cash Management: Perform bank reconciliations, monitor cash flow, and handle daily banking activities like cash/cheque deposits and withdrawals.
  • Accounts Payable: Manage invoices, process vendor payments, monitor outstanding balances.
  • Payroll and HR Assistance: Process monthly payroll, sort staff claims, and manage employee leave records and attendance.
  • Compliance and Auditing: Ensure adherence to accounting policies, assist in external audits, and assist tax filings and other government compliance requirements.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Office Coordination: Manage general office operations, including handling phone calls.
  • Documentation and Filing: Maintain and organize all digital and physical documentation, ensuring accurate record-keeping and proper filing systems are in place.
  • Vendor and Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with auditors, tax agents, vendors, and other external stakeholders.
  • Management Support: Assist upper management with administrative tasks, scheduling meetings, and managing calendars.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Tally) and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time across dual responsibilities.
