Job Description

A good accountant is not just someone with finance skills but also an expert in human relations and communication. They must have exceptional integrity as they oversee financial records, and they must have strong communication skills to present detailed information in a manner that’s easy to understand. The accounting duties are as follows Track and record all internal and external transactions Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable Prepare, compute, file, pay GST and claim credits Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual closing in a timely fashion in coordination with Chartered Accountant or CFO. Prepare budget and cash flow forecasts Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual audits Prepare and publish financial statements in a timely fashion Accountant Job Qualifications/Skills: Accounting Reporting Skills Attention to Detail Deadline-Oriented Reporting Research Results Confidentiality Time Management Data Entry Management General Math Skills Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in tax, accounting, or finance are prioritized At least 1 year experience in accounting/finance and GST Filing Experience with financial reporting requirements Experience with accounting software is a plus
