Job Description

As a National Account Manager at Vertiv, you will be responsible for managing relationships with strategic accounts on a UK and national level to grow and develop long-term partnerships. Your success will be measured by increasing orders/sales, capturing a larger share of the account's wallet, and expanding business engagement beyond traditional areas. You will work closely with end-users, key contractors, and targeted Consultants aligned to Enterprise, Commercial & Light Industrial sectors. **Key Responsibilities:** - Build and maintain relationships with allocated National Accounts to ensure high customer satisfaction. - Promote Vertiv's product and service offerings throughout the account hierarchy. - Inform accounts of new developments and coordinate with the sales force to generate proposals. - Prepare competitive bid solutions in response to enquiries. - Maintain and update CRM Database and relevant reporting mechanisms. - Collaborate with project delivery team to manage client expectations. - Drive marketing activities for Vertiv products and services. - Create, follow up, and report Account plans defining joint strategies and activity plans. - Contribute to market monitoring, identify new business opportunities, and propose action plans. - Develop relationships with key stakeholders and present organizational capabilities. - Utilize reporting and forecasting platforms for accurate pipeline growth and forecasting. - Increase Vertiv's market share and exceed budget numbers in orders and sales. - Contribute to teamwork, knowledge sharing, and self-growth and development. - Be innovative in process improvements and take ownership of your role and responsibilities. **Qualifications:** **Required/ Minimum Qualifications:** - Commercial experience in understanding customers and the business environment. - Minimum 10 years of proven sales account management experience in an international setting. - Strong negotiation and relationship building skills. - Ability to develop and execute strategic plans. - Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent. - Strong sales background with experience in critical support applications. **Additional / Preferred Qualifications:** - Planning, organizational, and leadership skills. - Basic legal and business knowledge. - Account management, selling, influencing, negotiating, and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication skills at all levels. - Ability to work proactively and in a team environment. - Strong presentation skills and IT literacy. - Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively. - Excellent customer service skills. *Note: Physical & Environmental Requirements are not specified in the job description.* **About The Team:** Details about the team were not provided in the job description. **Work Authorization:** Vertiv will only employ individuals legally authorized to work in the United States.
