Hiring For Account Head / General Manager - Fleet (Based at Fleet Office, Kheda, Delhi)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Account Head / General Manager to oversee all aspects of fleet accounting and financial management. This leadership position will be responsible for managing various financial functions, including inter-company reconciliations, vendor and expenses reconciliation, budgeting, profit and loss reports, tax returns, and ensuring the financial health of the fleet operations. The ideal candidate will have CA or CA Inter qualification with at least 10 years of experience in fleet accounting, along with a proven track record in leadership roles.

Location: Fleet Office, Kheda, Delhi

Experience: 10+ years in a leadership role within fleet accounting

Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) or CA Inter

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inter-Company Reconciliation: Responsible for ensuring proper reconciliation of accounts between different entities within the organization to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Vendor Reconciliation: Manage and oversee the reconciliation of vendor accounts, ensuring that payments, credits, and transactions are processed accurately.
  • Expense Reconciliation:
  • Variable Costs: Handle variable cost accounting, ensuring all costs associated with fleet operations are tracked and reconciled.
  • Advance Expenses: Review and verify advance payments related to fleet operations, ensuring proper accounting.
  • Fuel Expenses: Monitor and reconcile fuel expenses for the fleet, ensuring accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
  • Fuel Pumps Bill Reconciliation & Coordination: Coordinate with fuel stations and partners to ensure proper billing and reconciliation of fuel expenses across the fleet.
  • Budgeting:
  • Prepare detailed monthly and daily budgets for fleet operations, ensuring adherence to financial targets and efficient resource allocation.
  • Profit and Loss Reporting: Prepare and review Profit and Loss statements for the fleet division, identifying trends, areas of cost reduction, and operational efficiencies.
  • GST Returns: Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST IR Returns related to fleet operations.
  • Income Tax Returns (ITR): Manage the preparation and submission of ITR Returns for the fleet division, ensuring compliance with tax laws.
  • Balance Sheet Preparation: Lead the preparation of accurate balance sheets and financial statements, providing insights into the financial health of the fleet division.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Manage, mentor, and guide a team of accounting professionals. Ensure the team adheres to company policies, maintains accuracy in financial reporting, and continuously develops their skills.
  • Variable Cost Control: Monitor, analyze, and control variable costs within the fleet division. Implement cost-saving measures and improve profitability.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Educational Qualification:
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or CA Inter.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in financial management and accounting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in a fleet or logistics environment.
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of fleet accounting, financial reconciliation, and budgeting.
  • In-depth understanding of GST, Income Tax Returns, and Balance Sheet preparation.
  • Excellent command over Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team effectively.
  • Good communication skills for vendor and inter-department coordination.
  • Proven ability to manage cost control and improve financial efficiency.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
