We are looking for an Accessibility UX Specialist to join our product and design team and lead the creation of accessible, intuitive, and impactful user experiences in complex systems and Data Visualization environments. This role combines deep expertise in UX design principles, international accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 / 2.2), and the ability to make complex data and visualizations accessible to diverse users.


Responsibilities:

  • Drive accessibility principles throughout the design and development lifecycle of complex systems and dashboards.
  • Design and adapt Data Visualization components (charts, interactive tables, heat maps, etc.) for accessibility and inclusivity.
  • Collaborate closely with product, development, and QA teams to ensure full compliance with WCAG, Section 508, and EN 301 549 standards.
  • Conduct usability and accessibility testing with real users, including use of assistive technologies (screen readers, keyboard navigation).
  • Create and maintain accessible design patterns within the organization’s Design System.
  • Provide guidance, training, and advocacy for accessibility best practices across teams.


Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in UX design for complex systems or enterprise software.
  • Hands-on expertise in digital accessibility with deep knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2 guidelines.
  • Experience designing for Data Visualization – including dashboards, charts, and complex data tables.
  • Proficiency with design tools (Figma / Figma make/ Clode code) and accessibility plugins/tools.
  • Experience with screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver) and keyboard-only navigation testing.
  • Strong knowledge of color accessibility, contrast ratios, and ARIA roles for front-end compatibility.
  • Systems thinking, attention to detail, and an analytical approach to making complex information usable.
  • High-level English – professional reading and writing.

 

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Data Visualization libraries (D3.js, Highcharts, Tableau, Power BI, Chart.js).
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, React, or Angular with accessibility-focused implementation.
  • Accessibility certifications (CPACC, WAS, CPWA).
  • Track record of leading cross-organizational accessibility initiatives.
  • Background in user research and usability testing.
