Role Description :

This is a full-time on-site role based in Surat for an Academic Counselor. The Academic Counselor will be responsible for providing guidance to prospective students, counseling them to help select courses aligned with their career goals, and assisting them through the enrollment process. The role also involves fostering relationships with students and aiding them in achieving their educational aspirations. Responsibilities include answering inquiries, managing databases, creating engagement strategies, and contributing to upGrad’s mission of lifelong learning.

Key Responsibilities :

• Counsel students and working professionals on suitable upGrad programs based on their background, interests, and career goals. 💬
• Conduct regular cold calling to prospective learners; cold calling and tele-counseling will be a primary KRA. 📞
• Guide learners clearly on course structure, eligibility, fees, and career outcomes, and resolve their queries. 🛤️
• Handle walk-ins at the Surat center, conduct face-to-face counseling, and ensure a positive learner experience. 🚶‍♂️
• Maintain and update lead data, follow up systematically, and work towards monthly enrollment targets. 📊

Eligibility critirea :

• Total experience: 2–5 years. ⏳
• Prior experience in student counseling or counseling for any educational/training course is mandatory.
• Proven experience in cold calling / tele-counseling, preferably in the education sector. 📲
• Education: Bachelor's degree – B.Tech / B.E / B.Sc or any graduation. 🎓
• Strong communication and convincing skills; must know English, Hindi, and Gujarati. 🗣️
• Comfortable working with targets and having counseling plus cold calling as core KRAs. 🎯
• Understanding of Data Science is a plus. 🔬
