Academic Counsellor

Key Responsibilities

1. Student Counselling & Guidance

• Provide academic and career counselling to prospective students based on their interests and qualifications.
  
• Explain program details, curriculum, career outcomes, certification processes, and learning pathways.
  
• Assist students in selecting the right program offered by Shalby Academy.
  
• Conduct individual and group counselling sessions, both online and offline.
  

2. Admissions & Enrolment Support

• Handle enquiries via calls, walk-ins, emails, events, and online platforms.
  
• Guide students through the admission process, documentation, and fee structure.
  
• Maintain regular follow-up with prospective students to convert interest into admissions.
  
• Achieve monthly and quarterly enrolment targets.
  

3. Basic Self-Driven Lead Generation

• Conduct

  basic outreach activities

  to generate leads, including:

• Referrals

  from students, alumni, and networks

• Outreach to inquiries

  through follow-up calls, messages, and emails
• Participation in

  education events, fairs, seminars, and workshops

• Institute visits

  to colleges, hospitals, vocational centres, and partner institutions
• Build and maintain a

  pipeline of warm leads

  and nurture them until conversion.
• Coordinate with the marketing team for additional campaign support when required.
  

4. Student Support & Academic Coordination

• Act as the primary point of contact for students from enrolment to course completion.
  
• Support academic operations such as class scheduling, assessments, practical sessions, and faculty coordination.
  
• Address academic or administrative concerns raised by students promptly.
  
• Assist in organizing orientation programs, student engagement events, and training activities.
  

5. Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain accurate records of enquiries, counselling sessions, follow-ups, conversions, and academic progress.
  
• Share daily/weekly/monthly reports on admissions, counselling effectiveness, and student feedback.
  
• Update CRM/ERP systems regularly and maintain data accuracy.
