Job Description

Role Purpose :

The Academic Coordinator plays a critical role in enhancing the educational experience by providing leadership and support to teaching staff, ensuring adherence to academic policies, and promoting student engagement. This position is vital in maintaining high academic standards and improving overall school performance.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide academic leadership and mentorship to teaching staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.


  • Conduct classroom observations and evaluations to enhance teaching practices and ensure compliance with curriculum standards.


  • Plan and implement strategies for learning enhancement and student engagement.


  • Oversee daily operations of the academic department, ensuring smooth coordination across teams.


  • Support teachers in resource planning and curriculum development, aligning with school policies.


  • Facilitate performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to staff.


  • Engage with students to provide guidance and support, promoting positive behaviour management practices.





Requirements

Education Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Education or a related field.



Experience Requirements:

0-3 years of experience in an academic environment or educational coordination role.


Technical Skills:


  • Strong understanding of academic leadership principles.


  • Proficiency in classroom observation techniques and teacher evaluation methods.


  • Knowledge of resource planning and curriculum support.




Soft Skills:


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


  • Strong decision-making abilities and problem-solving skills.


  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
