Academic Coordinator

The ideal candidate should be academically strong, possess excellent coordination and people management skills, and thrive in a fast-paced school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage grade-level academic delivery and administration, ensuring excellence in academic results and student discipline
  • Coordinate with central academic committees to implement curriculum as per guidelines
  • Set and promote high academic standards and expectations for students and staff
  • Ensure optimal engagement and performance of teaching staff and timely completion of academic tasks
  • Ensure adherence to board, organizational, and central committee policies
  • Coordinate with the Principal and management to share required information with boards, education departments, and central offices within timelines
  • Assist in implementing academic policies, circulars, and updates
  • Plan, conduct, and supervise events such as parent orientations, PTMs, student events, competitions, sports days, and coffee meets
  • Oversee curricular and co-curricular programs as per guidelines
  • Handle parent concerns escalated by stakeholders and ensure parent satisfaction
  • Maintain effective communication with students, staff, and parents
  • Manage academic documentation related to student performance, discipline, and staff records
  • Guide, mentor, motivate, and support teachers to deliver as per curriculum philosophy
  • Ensure smooth induction of teaching staff and ongoing academic training
  • Work closely with HR for recruitment, retention, and adherence to HR policies
  • Foster a positive and conducive work environment to control staff attrition
  • Perform any other duties assigned by school management

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualification:

    Minimum B.Ed
  • Experience:

    • 5-6 years of experience in academics
    • At least 1 year of experience as a Coordinator / Supervisor / HOD / Examination Head / Lead Teacher / Head Teacher

  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Sound technical skills, including handling online/digital learning platforms
  • Excellent leadership, mentoring, and people management abilities
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and implement requirements at the school level
  • Result-oriented, proactive, and capable of working in a high-growth school environment
  • Ability to drive collaboration and consensus in challenging situations
