Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end data architecture using Snowflake and Matillion for ingestion, transformation, and storage
• Define and maintain best practices in data modeling (e.g., dimensional, normalized, star/snowflake schemas)
• Lead the adoption and scaling of modern data stack tools aligned with business objectives
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to define data requirements and build reliable data pipelines
• Ensure compliance with governance and security frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2)
• Optimize Snowflake performance (clustering, caching, query tuning, cost control)
• Develop robust integration strategies across APIs, databases, flat files, and third-party sources
• Promote data quality, metadata management, and documentation standards
• Guide Matillion usage: orchestration, reusable job frameworks, and performance optimization

✅ Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related field
• Expert-level Snowflake skills: multi-cluster warehouse design, RBAC, data sharing, etc.
• Strong hands-on experience with Matillion ETL/ELT pipelines
• Deep understanding of scalable cloud data architecture
• Proficient in SQL and scripting (Python or Bash)
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure preferred)
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Solid understanding of ELT/ETL design and orchestration patterns

✅ Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with dbt, Airflow, or similar tools
• Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
• Knowledge of data governance platforms (Alation, Collibra, Atlan)
• Exposure to real-time data pipelines or ML platform support
• Industry experience in finance, healthcare, retail, or other regulated domains
