Job Summary:

Futopia Global Pvt Ltd is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laptop Technician/Engineer with a strong understanding of both new and, critically, refurbished laptop systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, testing, and ensuring the quality of a wide range of laptops, with a particular focus on bringing pre-owned devices to optimal working condition. You will play a key role in our operations, ensuring customer satisfaction through the delivery of high-quality refurbished laptops.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues in laptops, including component-level repairs.
• Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components such as motherboards, screens, keyboards, batteries, RAM, and storage devices.
• Thoroughly inspect and test incoming refurbished laptops to identify any defects or functionality issues.
• Implement and oversee the refurbishment process, including cleaning, cosmetic repairs, hardware upgrades, and software installation.
• Install and configure operating systems, drivers, and software applications.
• Perform data wiping and secure data destruction on refurbished devices.
• Conduct rigorous quality control checks on repaired and refurbished laptops to ensure they meet performance standards.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and testing procedures.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest laptop technologies and repair techniques.
• Collaborate with other team members to optimize repair and refurbishment processes.
• Potentially assist with inventory management of spare parts and refurbished units.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience min 5 years as a Laptop Technician, with specific experience in repairing and refurbishing laptops.
• Strong understanding of laptop hardware architecture, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and software applications.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software faults.
• Hands-on experience with component-level repairs, including soldering and board-level diagnostics (preferred).
• Familiarity with data wiping and secure data destruction methods.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and 1 interpersonal skills
• Strong quality control skill.
