Role Summary:

Role & responsibilities

• Define and architect Zero Trust / SASE frameworks aligning with business and security goals.
• Deploy, configure and administer Zscaler SASE solutions (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX) across data-centres, cloud, and DR (disaster-recovery) setups.
• Design secure traffic flows (Internet, access to SaaS/private apps, custom application traffic) through secure web gateways, proxies, firewalls, and Zscaler services.
• Maintain deep understanding of LAN/WAN, global enterprise network topologies, routing, switching, overlay, underlay, and how SASE fits in.
• Understand and map HTTPS and application-based traffic flows, design optimal secure access architecture (e.g., user internet, user SaaS, user private app) using Zscaler appliances/services.
• Support user-access lifecycle: user provisioning/deprovisioning, access certification processes, rolebased access, privileged access management (as relevant).
• Engage with client stakeholders (IT/Security leads, network teams, infrastructure teams) to conduct incident response, investigations, rootcause analysis, solution improvements.
• Provide operational support: solution tuning, monitoring performance (including via ZDX for user experience), policy optimisation, incident/change management.
• Work cross-functionally with procurement, operations, cloud/DR teams, enterprise WAN teams, security operations centre (SOC) teams, to ensure alignment and successful roll-out of SASE architecture.
• Document architecture, deployment guides, run-books, operational procedures, user-experience metrics and provide recommendations for continual improvement.
• Ensure compliance with organisational security policies, regulatory requirements and best practices (Zero Trust, SASE, cloud security).
  

Must-Haves / Technical Skillset - Preferred candidate profile

• 812 years overall in network security (design, implementation, operations).
• Minimum 5+ years dedicated experience designing & implementing SASE solutions (preferably using Zscaler technologies).
• Hands-on experience with Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA), Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) and ZDX (Zscaler Digital Experience).
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust architecture, SASE principles and how to map them into enterprise deployments. ir.zscaler.com+2zscaler.it+2
• Good working knowledge of LAN, WAN, cloud connectivity, data-centre, disaster recovery, routing & switching, proxy/firewall architectures.
• Ability to understand and design traffic flows for HTTPS, custom applications, proxies, firewalling and secure access services.
• Strong stakeholder management skills: able to engage with clients, articulate architecture, translate business needs into technical delivery.
• Solutionoriented mindset: design, deploy, support and optimise.
• Good documentation skills: architecture diagrams, run-books, policy manuals, operational procedures.
• Ideally, experience in a consulting / managed-services environment or large enterprise global network deployment.
