Yamaha Motor - Node.js Developer - Microservices Architecture

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, frontend developers, and QA engineers to plan and deliver features effectively.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code adhering to industry best practices and coding standards.
• Optimize application performance, security, and scalability to handle increasing user demand.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and reliable deployment processes.
• Lead technical discussions, conduct thorough code reviews, and mentor junior developers to foster technical growth within the team.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends; proactively propose improvements to architecture and development processes.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend issues efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure seamless user experiences.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of professional experience in backend development with a strong focus on Node.js.
• Excellent proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
• Solid experience working with RESTful APIs; familiarity with GraphQL is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with both SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).
• Expertise in designing and working with microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
• Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong knowledge of testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Chai to ensure code quality.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid team environment.
  

Good To Have

• Experience with message brokers like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS.
• Exposure to serverless architectures, particularly AWS Lambda.
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue for potential full-stack contributions.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
