Workshop Manager

In this role, you will be responsible for the job flow and location management in the workshop, which includes job scheduling and labor allocation for day-to-day operations. You will oversee tasks such as managing inward goods, checking quantities, dispatching goods, and receipting invoices. It will be your duty to regularly report progress on each job, promptly communicate any delays or concerns to the Operations manager, and report on manpower overruns or shortfalls. Ensuring the maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials in the Service Area will also be part of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Manage job scheduling and labor allocation in the workshop - Supervise inward goods, dispatching, and receipting invoices - Report progress on each job and communicate any delays - Ensure maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials - Respond to client requests for job status updates - Investigate customer complaints and suggest solutions - Implement systems for recording client inquiries - Identify staff training needs and provide opportunities for improvement - Provide feedback to underperforming staff - Review service orders and technician repairs for quality assurance - Inspect work orders for compliance with policies and procedures - Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction - Plan and prepare the annual budget, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions Qualifications: - Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical/Automotive or related field - 7-9 years of experience managing an automotive workshop, preferably dealership-affiliated - Extensive knowledge of mechanical issues, warranties, service, and repairs - Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills - Administrative competence - Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft applications - Ability to provide timely and professional advice to customers If you are interested in this position, please note that the job location is in Agra & Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh) with a salary budget ranging from 4,00,000 to 5,40,000 lpa.
