Workday Extend Developer

As a Workday Extend Developer at Kainos, you will be part of a team of Extend consultants working on a project to support the successful delivery of extend applications for the cloud-based Workday system. Your responsibilities will include capturing requirements, documenting, implementing, deploying, and supporting applications within a Workday Extend implementation project. You will also be expected to develop expert knowledge of the Workday product and extend platform toolset, as well as HCM/Financials business domain knowledge. Building strong relationships with customers to understand their requirements will be crucial to ensure the solution is aligned to their needs, fit for purpose, and commercially viable. You should know when to escalate issues and seek support from more experienced team members. Key Responsibilities: - Capture requirements, document, implement, deploy, and support applications within a Workday Extend implementation project - Develop expert knowledge of the Workday product and extend platform toolset, as well as HCM/Financials business domain knowledge - Build strong relationships with customers to understand their requirements and ensure solutions are aligned to their needs - Know when to escalate issues and seek support from more experienced team members - Plan workload, meet deadlines, and maintain high quality and accuracy in work - Maintain confidentiality and ensure security of information at all times Qualifications Required: - Proficiency with XML, REST, SOAP, JSON, and knowledgeable in an object-oriented programming language (preferably J2EE) - Good understanding of cloud computing, web services, and associated challenges - Customer-focused with experience in a consulting or client-facing environment - Clear and effective communicator proficient in English language - Commercial awareness and understanding of project and business dynamics - Attention to detail and ability to work within teams or individually with limited supervision - Willingness to travel to work with customers on-site and collaborate with colleagues from other offices Desirable Qualifications: - Workday HCM Certified or experience with other similar HCM/ERP systems - Experience in designing workflows to solve business and technical problems At Kainos, we value diversity and are committed to supporting candidates throughout the recruitment process.
