Job Description

As a Workday Extend Developer at Kainos, you will be an integral part of a team of Extend consultants, working on projects to support the successful delivery of extend applications for the cloud-based Workday system. With the guidance of senior consultants, you will be responsible for capturing requirements, documenting, implementing, deploying, and supporting applications within Workday Extend implementation projects. Your role will involve developing and sharing expert knowledge of the Workday product, extend platform toolset, as well as HCM/Financials business domain knowledge. Key Responsibilities: - Proficiency with XML, REST, SOAP, JSON, and knowledge of an object-oriented programming language (preferably J2EE). - Understanding of cloud computing, web services, and associated challenges. - Customer-focused with experience in a consulting or client-facing environment. - Clear and effective communicator, able to interact with customers and colleagues with credibility, even in remote working situations. - Commercially aware with some understanding of project and business dynamics. - Attention to detail is key. - Capable of working within (remote) teams, alongside customers, and independently with limited supervision. - Ability to plan your workload and meet deadlines effectively. - Adherence to all relevant standards and procedures, maintaining high quality and accuracy at all times. - Awareness of the importance of confidentiality, non-disclosure policies, and information security. - Willingness to travel to work with customers on-site and collaborate with colleagues from other offices. Qualifications Required: - Proficiency with XML, REST, SOAP, JSON, and an object-oriented programming language (preferably J2EE). - Understanding of cloud computing, web services, and related challenges. - Experience in a consulting or client-facing environment. - Effective communication skills in English. - Commercial awareness and understanding of project dynamics. - Attention to detail. - Ability to work within teams and independently with limited supervision. - Effective time management skills. - Adherence to standards and procedures with a focus on quality and accuracy. - Awareness of confidentiality and information security policies. - Willingness to travel for on-site work with customers and collaboration with colleagues. Desirable Qualifications: - Workday HCM Certified or experience with similar HCM/ERP systems. - Experience in designing workflows to address business and technical challenges.
