Job Title: General Manager Sales Department: Retail Operations Location: Head Office, Vijayawada Role Overview: We are looking for a visionary and performance-driven General Manager – Sales to lead the retail sales operations of our 72+ footwear stores across multiple locations. This senior leadership role requires strategic planning, team management, and business execution to achieve ambitious revenue, profitability, and customer service goals. The GM – Sales will work closely with top management to scale operations, grow market share, and elevate the brand experience across all stores. Key Responsibilities: Sales Strategy & Business Development Develop and execute national sales strategies aligned with company objectives. Set and monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for stores and regions. Identify growth opportunities including new markets, customer segments, and seasonal trends. Analyze competitor activity and market trends to stay ahead of the curve. Leadership & Organizational Management Lead a large multi-layered sales team including AGMs, Area Managers, and Store Managers. Drive team performance through KPIs, sales incentives, and structured performance management. Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, results, and customer centricity. Retail Operations Oversight Ensure all stores adhere to brand standards in visual merchandising, store cleanliness, and customer service. Oversee operational efficiency including inventory turnover, stock accuracy, and order fulfillment. Collaborate with merchandising, logistics, and IT teams to ensure seamless store operations. Financial Planning & Budgeting The sales revenue targets, profit margins, and cost control. Prepare and manage budgets for retail sales operations. Monitor store-wise and region-wise profitability and take corrective actions as needed. Customer Experience & Brand Representation Ensure a superior and consistent in-store customer experience across the chain. Implement regular customer feedback loops to improve service delivery. Champion brand values and ensure every store reflects the company’s brand promise. New Store Rollout & Expansion Lead the retail sales side of new store launches, including sales forecasting, manpower planning, and marketing alignment. Partner with real estate and expansion teams on strategic location planning. Qualifications & Experience: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field preferred. 10–15+ years of progressive experience in retail sales, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role. Proven track record of managing sales across a large retail network (ideally 50+ stores). Experience in footwear, apparel, or lifestyle retail chains strongly preferred. Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Tech-savvy with knowledge of retail analytics tools, POS systems, and ERP solutions. Job Description: Zonal Head Sales (Retail Footwear) Job Title: Zonal Head Sales Department: Retail Operations Location: Head Office, Vijayawada Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Zonal Head – Sales to oversee and drive the performance of our nationwide network of 72+ footwear retail stores. The ZM will support the General Manager in strategic planning, sales execution, team development, and operational excellence across multiple regions. This is a high-impact leadership role that combines field management with strategic decision-making to ensure consistent growth and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Sales Strategy & Performance Management Support the GM in defining and executing sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets. Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports for all stores and take corrective actions where needed. Develop and implement region-specific promotional plans, seasonal campaigns, and upselling strategies. Track KPIs such as footfall conversion, average transaction value, UPT (units per transaction), and inventory turnover. Team Leadership & Development Lead, coach, and mentor Area Managers and Store Managers. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide on-the-ground support to improve team efficiency. Identify talent within the organization and support succession planning and internal promotions. Lead staff training initiatives in sales techniques, customer experience, and product knowledge. Retail Operations Oversight Ensure all stores are aligned with brand standards in terms of visual merchandising, store hygiene, and service quality. Monitor adherence to SOPs (standard operating procedures) and retail operating guidelines. Collaborate with merchandising and supply chain teams to optimize stock allocation and inventory turnover. Financial & Business Reporting Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and expense control for retail operations. Analyze profitability at the store and region level and implement measures to maximize margins. Support audit and compliance processes across the retail network. Business Expansion & New Store Launches Assist in planning and executing new store launches, including manpower planning, training, and opening readiness. Work with real estate and projects teams for store feasibility and setup. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field. 8–12 years of experience in retail sales, with at least 3–5 years in a regional/multi-store leadership role. Strong leadership, strategic planning, and communication skills. Proven track record of driving sales growth in a retail chain environment. Experience in footwear, apparel, or lifestyle brands is strongly preferred. Willingness to travel extensively and work across geographies.
