Job Description

Senior Officer US Payroll

Chennai,

Night Shift (5:00 PM onwards, 9.5 hours)

One-way drop facility (evening drop)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Officer US Payroll. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and hands-on experience in pre-payroll, payroll processing, and post-payroll activities for the US region, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end US payroll processing in compliance with company policies and federal/state regulations.
• Handle pre-payroll activities, including data validation, attendance and timesheet review, and input collection.
• Execute payroll processing, ensuring accuracy in salary computation, deductions, and taxes.
• Perform post-payroll activities such as reconciliations, reporting, GL postings, and coordination with Finance and HR teams.
• Address employee payroll queries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality and data integrity throughout all payroll operations.
• Stay updated with changes in payroll laws and taxation regulations in the US.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 1-2.5 years of experience in US payroll processing.

• Strong understanding of payroll systems, taxation, and compliance.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and payroll software/tools.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work in a night shift.
