Windows Server Engineer

As a Windows Server & Infrastructure Support specialist, you will be responsible for assisting in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows Server environments. Your role will involve providing support for Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, and addressing basic user access issues. Additionally, you will be tasked with monitoring server health and promptly responding to incidents or service alerts. In terms of Network Support, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of LAN, WAN, VPN, and Wi-Fi networks. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting connectivity issues with routers, switches, and firewalls, as well as monitoring and escalating network outages and slowdowns as necessary. You will also be involved in deploying and supporting applications hosted on IIS or similar platforms such as .NET, Java, or PHP. This will involve managing SSL certificates, port configurations, and application performance logs to ensure optimal functionality. Furthermore, your role will encompass basic Database Support, including supporting SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL installations by executing basic queries and managing user access. To excel in this role, you should have hands-on experience with Windows Server 2016/2019, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, networking basics (TCP/IP, VPN, VLAN, switching, firewall rules), IIS or similar application/web hosting tools, and basic database support (SQL Server/MySQL/PostgreSQL). You will also be expected to assist with backup/restore operations and ensure data availability.
