Wholesale Credit Risk Insurance Vice President

As a Credit Risk Officer at Citi, you play a strategic role in contributing to the directional strategy of the business by staying abreast of developments within your field. You will be a recognized technical authority, providing advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Your work will have a significant impact on the area through complex deliverables, ultimately affecting the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family. Your responsibilities include: - Assessing the quality of assigned portfolios, identifying and evaluating emerging risks - Evaluating the effectiveness of credit risk processes and standards to promote leading practices and identify improvement opportunities - Reviewing and assessing the appropriateness, completeness, and usage trends of the credit risk components of the Risk Appetite framework - Providing autonomous assessment of risk ratings and classifications of assigned portfolios - Ensuring appropriate resources for assigned entities by assessing business/risk staffing models - Monitoring Corrective Action Plans for assigned businesses to address concerns from Fundamental Credit Risk Reviews or Business Monitoring - Maintaining quality and consistency standards of Fundamental Credit Risk documents - Keeping senior management informed of concerns and emerging risks that may impact their Review Entities - Demonstrating Quality Assurance activities as a Subject Matter Expert - Assessing risks when making business decisions to safeguard Citigroup, its clients, and assets To excel in this role, you should ideally have: - 10-13 years of relevant experience - Good analytical skills to filter, prioritize, and validate complex material - Wide latitude and discretion in decision-making Education: - Bachelors/University degree, Masters degree preferred Please note that this job description provides a high-level overview of the work performed, and additional job-related duties may be assigned as required.
