Job Description

Job Title: Welfare Officer ( Female only )
Department: Human Resources
Reporting to: Factory Manager /HR Head
Location: Factory

**Food & Room Accommodation Free**

Objective:

To ensure the well-being, safety, and engagement of workers/employees by implementing welfare schemes, resolving grievances, and ensuring compliance with statutory welfare provisions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Statutory Compliance & Records

  • Ensure compliance with Factories Act, 1948 (especially Section 49) and state labour laws.
  • Maintain records and reports required under applicable labour laws.
  • Coordinate with labour departments, health inspectors, and auditors.

2. Employee Welfare Activities

  • Organize and monitor welfare facilities: canteen, restrooms, drinking water, medical care, transport, and creche.
  • Promote programs for employee well-being, safety, and personal development.
  • Oversee employee engagement, sports, cultural events, and awareness sessions.

3. Grievance Handling & Communication

  • Act as a liaison between management and workers.
  • Address worker grievances and support effective conflict resolution.
  • Encourage a positive and open workplace culture.

4. Counselling & Support

  • Provide emotional or professional counselling where needed.
  • Help employees with personal or workplace-related concerns.

5. Training & Awareness

  • Conduct training sessions on:
  • Health & hygiene
  • Industrial safety
  • Employee rights and responsibilities
  • Gender sensitization & anti-harassment

6. Hostel / Dormitory Oversight (if applicable)

  • Monitor hostel conditions, cleanliness, food, and security.
  • Ensure gender-sensitive accommodation standards are maintained.

7. Coordination with Government / NGO Bodies

  • Liaise with NGOs, social welfare departments, and local authorities for programs and outreach.
  • Required Qualifications:
  • Educational: Master’s in Social Work (MSW) / Sociology / Psychology or PG Diploma in Labour Welfare.
  • Experience: 2–5 years in a similar role (freshers with MSW may be considered in some industries).
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, conflict resolution, statutory knowledge.

Working Hours:

As per factory/organization schedule (may include shift or extended hours as per need)

Salary Range:

As per industry standards or state wage rules.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹13,500.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
