FOR GTAW

A TIG Welder job involves using the Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding process to join various metals with precision, requiring skills in reading blueprints, preparing materials, setting up and operating TIG equipment, inspecting welds for quality, and maintaining a safe work environment. Key responsibilities include fabricating and repairing metal components, selecting appropriate materials and equipment, and performing detailed work for industries like aerospace, automotive, and construction. Responsibilities

  • TIG Welding:Perform skilled TIG (GTAW) welding to join metal components, ensuring strong, accurate, and aesthetically pleasing welds.
  • Blueprint Interpretation:Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine welding requirements and specifications.
  • Material Preparation:Cut, shape, and clean metal components to prepare them for welding using appropriate tools.
  • Equipment Operation:Set up, monitor, and maintain TIG welding equipment, torches, regulators, and gas tanks.
  • Quality Assurance:Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards, codes, and requirements.
  • Safety Compliance:Adhere strictly to safety procedures, follow health and safety guidelines, and wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintenance:Maintain welding equipment and tools, and keep the work area clean and organized.
  • Fabrication:Assemble and fabricate metal components and structures according to plans.

An SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) welder uses a flux-coated electrode and electric arc to join metal components, often on structural projects, pipelines, and repair work in industries like construction and shipbuilding. Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, setting up and maintaining equipment, ensuring weld quality, and adhering to strict safety protocols in various work environments. Key skills involve technical expertise, physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to follow safety and welding procedures.
Key Responsibilities

  • Welding:Perform shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) to join metal components using a flux-coated electrode.
  • Blueprint Reading:Understand and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to guide the welding process.
  • Equipment Operation & Maintenance:Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
  • Preparation:Prepare metal components for welding, which may include measuring, marking, and aligning parts.
  • Finishing:Use grinders and sanders to finish welded components and remove burrs.
  • Quality Control:Inspect and test welded surfaces to ensure high-quality, flaw-free welds that meet specifications.
  • Safety:Follow all health and safety standards, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Documentation:Accurately track and document job status and other required information.

Work Environments Construction sites, Manufacturing facilities, Shipbuilding yards, Pipeline construction, and Repair shops. Common Duties in Diverse Settings

  • Outdoor and Indoor: Work in various weather conditions and environments.
  • Confined Spaces: Be comfortable working in potentially confined areas.
  • Heavy Lifting: May need to lift and carry heavy objects.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
