• Database Management:
• Design and manage databases, ensuring proper data storage and retrieval.
• Use SQL queries to interact with databases and perform CRUD operations.
• API Integration:
• Integrate third-party APIs to enhance the functionality of web applications.
• Ensure seamless communication between the server and external services.
• Security:
• Implement security best practices to protect web applications from vulnerabilities.
• Validate user inputs to prevent common security threats, such as SQL injection and cross-site scripting (XSS).
• Optimization:
• Optimise code for better performance and scalability.
• Identify and fix bottlenecks in the application's performance.
• Collaboration:
• Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and other team members to deliver high-quality web applications.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and adherence to coding standards.
• Troubleshooting:
• Debug and resolve technical issues and bugs.
• Conduct thorough testing of applications to identify and fix issues before deployment.

WordPress Developer Responsibilities:

• Theme Development:
• Develop custom WordPress themes based on design specifications.
• Customise existing themes to meet client requirements.
• Plugin Development:
• Create custom plugins to add specific features or functionality to WordPress sites.
• Modify and customise existing plugins as needed.
• Content Management:
• Manage and update content on WordPress sites, including text, images, and multimedia elements.
• Ensure content is organised and presented effectively.
• Customization:
• Customise the appearance and behaviour of WordPress sites using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Implement responsive design to ensure a consistent user experience across devices.
• WordPress Core Updates:
• Keep abreast of WordPress core updates and apply them to ensure the security and stability of websites.
• SEO Optimization:
• Implement SEO best practices to improve the search engine ranking of WordPress sites.
• Optimise site structure, meta tags, and other elements for better visibility.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with clients, project managers, and other team members to understand project requirements and deliver solutions.
• Provide technical support and training to clients when necessary.
