Oracle WebLogic Developer

Role & responsibilities

Development Responsibilities (60%)

• Design, develop, and enhance

  Java/J2EE applications

  deployed on Oracle WebLogic Server.
• Build and maintain

  integration components

  , web services (REST/SOAP), and middleware solutions.
• Develop

  WLST scripts

  for automation of deployments, configurations, and environment tasks.
• Collaborate with architects and cross-functional teams in solution design and technical reviews.
• Identify performance bottlenecks in applications and implement optimization strategies.
• Build CI/CD scripts and automations using Maven, Git, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation, design specifications, and deployment instructions.

Administration Responsibilities (40%)

• Install, configure, manage, and support

  Oracle WebLogic Server

  across Development, QA, and Production environments.
• Manage WebLogic domains, servers, clusters, JDBC/JMS configurations, and data sources.
• Handle deployment of applications, patching, upgrades, and environment migrations.
• Monitor JVM, heap usage, garbage collection, server health, and system performance.
• Troubleshoot issues across WebLogic, applications, and integrationsperform RCA and provide permanent fixes.
• Configure Node Manager, SSL certificates, security policies, and domain hardening.
• Coordinate with DBA, Network, OS, and Infrastructure teams for end-to-end environment support.

Required Skills & Experience

• 812+ years

  of hands-on experience with Oracle WebLogic development and administration.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Java/J2EE, Web services (REST/SOAP)
• Oracle WebLogic 11g/12c
• WLST scripting (Python-based)
• Deployment automation
• Good understanding of:
• WebLogic domain architecture and clustering
• JMS, JDBC, Datasource tuning
• JVM tuning, GC analysis, performance debugging
• SSL, keystores, security configurations
• Solid troubleshooting skills across application, middleware, and infrastructure layers.
• Experience supporting high-availability and mission-critical applications.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience with Oracle SOA Suite, OSB, ADF, or Oracle Fusion Middleware stack (optional but beneficial).
• Experience in

  OCI WebLogic

  , AWS WebLogic, or other cloud middleware setups.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Maven, Ansible).
• Oracle Middleware or WebLogic certification is an advantage.
