Web Hosting Support Engineer

1. Strong verbal and written communication abilities
2. Strong knowledge on Server Administration (Linux/Windows hosting environments).
3. Hands-on experience with Go Daddy, c Panel, Plesk, or similar hosting control panels.
4. Proficiency in DNS management, SSL/TLS, and email configuration.
5. Good understanding of Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive) & Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Exchange).
6. Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
7. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
8. Proficient in Telugu, English & Basic Knowledge of Hindi.

Key Responsibilities :

Website Maintenance & Support :

1. Monitor website, domain, hosting, email services, SSL certificates, performance, uptime, and security.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, including bugs, broken links, and hosting/server problems.
3. Ensure websites, domains, and hosting environments remain updated with the latest content, features, and security patches.

Client Support :

1. Provide technical assistance to clients via email, phone, or support ticketing systems.
2. Diagnose and resolve client-reported website, hosting, domain, or email issues efficiently.
3. Document solutions and create user-friendly guides for common issues.
4. Follow up with clients regarding service renewals, expires, and upgrades.
5. Identify opportunities for up selling additional services (hosting, SSL, email, cloud solutions, etc.).

Website Optimisation :

1. Analyse website performance metrics and implement optimisations for speed and SEO.
2. Identify and fix issues affecting site usability or accessibility.

Collaboration & Communication :

1. Work closely with developers, designers, and content teams to implement site updates.
2. Collaborate with hosting providers and third-party vendors for escalated issues.
3. Keep clients & internal team informed about the status and progress of ongoing support requests.

Technical Management :

1. Monitor, maintain, and configure Go Daddy & other hosting environments.
2. Handle DNS setup, SSL certificates, email configurations, and security settings.
3. Manage and troubleshoot Google Workspace & Microsoft 365 email systems.
4. Ensure smooth server operations with proactive monitoring and minimal downtime.
5. Maintain server backups, patches, and updates for reliability and security.
6. Work on cloud environments (Google Cloud, Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure) for hosting and deployment.
7. Ensure compliance with best practices in security and performance.

Required Skill Set :

Technical Expertise :

1. Strong knowledge of Server Administration (Linux/Windows hosting environments).
2. Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, MongoDB.
3. Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, Joomla).
4. Familiarity with React.js & Node.js for web application support.
5. Strong skills in DNS management, SSL/TLS, and email configuration.
6. Hands-on experience with GoDaddy, cPanel, Plesk, or similar hosting control panels.
7. Experience with web servers (Apache, Nginx) including configuration & performance tuning.
8. Knowledge of proxy servers, caching mechanisms (reverse proxy, CDN, browser/server caching).
9. Experience with manual backup & restoration of files and databases.
10. Cloud experience with AWS (EC2, S3, Route 53, CloudFront, RDS), Google Cloud, Azure.
11. Experience managing mail services, MX records, and troubleshooting email delivery issues.
12. Experience with domain management including transfers & redirections.
13. SSL certificate installation & configuration across hosting environments.
14. Basic understanding of SEO best practices.
15. Experience with version control systems (Git).
16. Familiarity with web analytics tools (Google Analytics).
