You are Uptownie's ideal candidate for the role of Operations & Warehouse Manager. In this pivotal position, you will be entrusted with overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations, managing manpower, ensuring order fulfillment, and coordinating shipments across various platforms. Your proactive approach and decision-making skills will directly influence customer satisfaction and business expansion. Key Responsibilities: - Warehouse Operations - Supervise daily warehouse tasks such as stock intake, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch - Maintain precise inventory movement and stock organization - Implement and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance warehouse efficiency - Collaborate with cataloguing, quality control, and merchandising teams for seamless operations - Inventory & Stock Control - Ensure real-time stock accuracy on multiple systems (Shopify, OMS, marketplaces) - Conduct cycle counts, audits, and resolve any discrepancies promptly - Manage returns, RTAs, and damaged inventory processes effectively - Manpower Management - Lead and oversee warehouse staff and supervisors - Assign daily tasks, monitor productivity, and provide necessary training on SOPs and quality standards - Uphold discipline, attendance, and ensure performance accountability - Order Fulfillment & Shipments - Streamline order processing for D2C and marketplaces, coordinating with courier partners and logistics vendors - Monitor dispatch timelines, address delays, and proactively manage escalations - Focus on reducing order cancellations, delays, and errors to enhance customer satisfaction - Process & System Improvement - Enhance turnaround time (TAT) and accuracy in order fulfillment - Support automation initiatives and system-driven workflows to boost efficiency - Collaborate closely with founders to scale operations effectively Qualifications: - You should possess at least 2-5 years of experience in operations, warehouse, or supply chain management - Prior exposure to the fashion, apparel, or e-commerce industry would be advantageous - Strong leadership skills to manage both people and processes effectively - Detail-oriented, structured, and dedicated to execution with a problem-solving mindset - Ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment and handle challenges with ease - Excellent coordination and communication skills are essential for this role Uptownie offers a compelling reason to join: - High ownership and visibility in a rapidly growing organization - Direct participation in the expansion of a fashion brand - Emphasis on a system-driven culture with ample opportunities for personal and professional growth - Chance to establish and lead robust operations right from the foundation up If you are ready to take on this exciting challenge and make a tangible impact on Uptownie's success, we look forward to welcoming you to our team.
