Job Summary

The Ward Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients admitted in the general ward. The role ensures high-quality patient care, coordination with doctors, maintaining patient records, and supporting overall ward management.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective nursing care to all patients in the general ward.
• Monitor patient health conditions, record vital signs, and report abnormalities to the doctor.
• Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist doctors during rounds and procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and reports.
• Ensure patient hygiene, comfort, and safety at all times.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic tests, surgeries, and transfers.
• Educate patients and families on care instructions, medications, and discharge processes.
• Manage ward supplies, equipment, and ensure proper sterilization.
• Follow hospital protocols, infection control measures, and clinical guidelines.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and support critical care when required.
• Coordinate with other departments for smooth patient care services.

Qualifications & Requirements

• GNM / B.Sc Nursing qualification.
• Valid Nursing Registration Certificate.
• 0–2 years of experience (freshers can also apply depending on hospital policy).
• Strong patient care skills and clinical knowledge.
• Good communication, teamwork, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work in rotational shifts.
