Ward Nurse

Job Summary:

The Ward Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients admitted to the ward. The role involves monitoring patients’ conditions, administering medications and treatments, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with doctors and other healthcare staff to ensure safe, compassionate, and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities:1. Patient Care

• Admit and discharge patients according to hospital policy.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for patients.
• Monitor vital signs, report abnormalities, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments safely and accurately.
• Assist physicians during ward rounds and medical procedures.
• Provide personal care and support for patient hygiene, comfort, and mobility.

2. Communication & Coordination

• Maintain clear communication with doctors, other nurses, and support staff.
• Update patient progress and report any concerns to the nurse in-charge or physician.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, post-discharge care, and medication instructions.

3. Documentation & Record Keeping

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date nursing notes and patient charts.
• Document all medications, treatments, and observations according to hospital policy.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with medical record standards.

4. Infection Control & Safety

• Follow hospital infection prevention and control protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the ward environment.
• Handle medical waste and sharps disposal according to safety guidelines.
• Ensure proper hand hygiene and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

5. Teamwork & Professional Development

• Support junior staff, nursing assistants, and students.
• Participate in ward meetings, training sessions, and continuing education programs.
• Contribute to maintaining high standards of patient care and service excellence.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹21,000.00 per month
