The center aims to drive new ideas and breakthroughs to enhance the efficacy and safety of maritime operations.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a VTMS Operator located in Chennai and Mumbai. The VTMS Operator will be responsible for monitoring vessel movements, ensuring the safety and coordination of maritime traffic, maintaining communication with vessels, and providing navigational assistance. The role involves using the Vessel Traffic Management System (VTMS) to oversee operations, report incidents, and ensure compliance with maritime regulations and protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience in vessel traffic management, maritime operations, or related fields
• Proficiency in using Vessel Traffic Management System (VTMS) software and tools
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Ability to monitor and analyze maritime traffic for safety and efficiency
• Knowledge of maritime regulations and protocols
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Relevant certification or training in VTMS operations is a plus- GMDSS, VHF, AIS, Radar
