Role Overview

The VM Manager/Specialist will own the end-to-end visual merchandising standards for SuperK and COCO Stores. The role focuses on store layout optimisation, planogram creation, branding consistency, and implementation of VM guidelines to improve customer experience, sales conversion, and operational discipline across the network.

Key Responsibilities

Store Layout & Standards
Build and maintain VM guidelines for COCO stores.
Design and optimise store layouts, category zoning, and customer flow.
Define and deploy standards for fixtures, signage, category boards, and branding.
Planograms & Merchandising
Develop planograms for all categories and ensure network-wide adherence.
Improve visibility of key SKUs, promotions, high-margin items, and new launches.
Ensure shelf hygiene, product adjacencies, and display discipline through audits.
Branding & VM Execution
Lead in-store branding, seasonal themes, and promotional VM rollouts.
Coordinate with Marketing, Category, and Projects for consistent execution.
Manage vendors for printing, fixtures, POP/POSM materials, and store branding.
Training & Compliance
Train store teams on VM basics and planogram discipline.
Conduct regular VM audits, publish compliance scores, and close gaps.
Create simple, repeatable SOPs for visual merchandising across the network.
Sales & Insights
Analyse category performance and customer behaviour to refine layouts.
Use VM as a lever to improve basket size, impulse purchases, and category throughput.

What we are looking for

3-6 years in VM roles within supermarkets/modern trade/retail formats.
Strong understanding of store layouts, fixtures, and category adjacencies.
Experience building planograms and driving compliance across multiple stores.
Ability to read sales data and derive merchandising insights.
Working knowledge of design tools (Illustrator/Photoshop/Canva) is a plus.
Proficiency in Excel/Sheets and strong communication skills.
Comfortable with travel and on-ground store execution.
